The protein bagel recipe experiment! Makes one generous serving. You can make several and freeze too! Use an air fryer or oven 375.
The Protein Bagel Recipe below:
🥯 2 TB brown rice flour
🥯 1 TB unflavored protein powder
🥯 2 TB white wheat flour
🥯 1/4 tsp baking powder
🥯 2 tsp stevia powder
🥯 1/2 tsp cinnamon
🥯 1/4 cup vanilla Greek yogurt; strained (avoid extra liquids or blended yogurt; you can reduce the amount of this is all you have)
🥯 Pinch of stevia blend brown sugar + cinnamon for dusting
Mix ingredients. Will be very sticky. Sprinkle in flour as needed. Lightly flour surface and gently fold a few times to incorporate extra flour. The dough will be very soft and slightly sticky. Shape into the circle. Poke hole in the middle. Sprinkle top with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Move into a sprayed air fryer and cook approximately 12-15 minutes or bake at 375 degrees 20-25 mins until golden brown. You can brush with egg wash if desired.
Cool, slice, and top however you, please! I used almond butter, thinly sliced Honeycrisp apples, and drizzled with sugar-free maple-flavored syrup.
