Turkey Burgers Recipe Below ↙️
Makes: 4 burgers
🐺1 lb. lean ground turkey
🐺1 tsp. dried basil
🐺1 tsp. onion powder
🐺1/2 tsp. garlic powder
🐺1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
🐺1 tsp. sea salt
🐺1 C. turkey pepperoni, quartered
🐺1/4 C. diced green pepper
🐺1/2 C. marinara sauce, no sugar added (like Muir Glen or Newman’s own)
🐺1/2 C. mozzarella, shredded
Preheat oven to 425.
Preheat skillet over medium heat + lightly spray with cooking oil. Add green peppers and cook until softened, 3-4 mins. Set aside and cool slightly.
In a large bowl, mix together ground turkey, basil, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, + salt. Once seasoning is well distributed, add in pepperoni pieces and cooked green peppers. Use a large spoon to stir or use your hands to mix together well.
Prepare a baking pan or tray with a spray of cooking oil. Divide meat into 4 portions. Shape each into a patty. Place on prepared pan. Top each burger with 2 TB of sauce.
Bake for 10 mins. At this point, you can add 2 TB of cheese to each burger. Bake an additional 7-10 minutes.
We like to eat these without a bun + a side of air-fried sweet potato fries! Enjoy.
