Sugar Free Brown Sugar Blend! 🥣
I’ve received a few questions over time regarding my consistent use of brown sugar blend; what it is, where to buy it, and why use it?
A replacement/swap for traditional brown sugar. Fewer calories; 75% fewer 10 per tsp + 2g of sugar per tsp. Truvia (brand) offers a blend of erythritol, cane sugar, molasses, and stevia leaf extract. This replaces regular light brown sugar in baking + cooking. Super easy way to slash calories and sugar!
Use 1/2 of the amount called for in the recipe. Ex: 2 TB of stevia brown sugar blend instead of 4 TB (1/4 cup) of regular brown sugar.
Most grocery stores; Amazon is a bit cheaper and you can subscribe + save. It is pricier than regular, however, you’re using half the amount in terms of measurement ratios.
Well, why not? It bakes and browns like regular brown sugar. It’s a better nutritional pick/swap. The flavor profile is consistent with regular variety. It’s a better choice altogether!
